I Love Illustration Gallery is thrilled to announce the solo exhibition of Amsterdam-based artist Ravian 'Derrière' van Beele(1991). Known for his sensual and humorous murals and paintings, Ravian combines depictions of buttocks with cartoonish elements. For this show, he creates an exclusive collection of works where haute couture merges with everyday brands, celebrating the start of the international fashion month!
About the Exhibition:
For this solo exhibition, Ravian Derrière creates a unique collection of works that blur the lines between couture and art. He explores the contrasts in the fashion world by blending haute couture with budget brands. This tension between luxury and affordability, combined with his distinctive style, unique color palette, and bold black outlines, results in striking and aesthetic images.
About Ravian Derrière:
Ravian Derrière (1991) is an artist from Amsterdam with a background in the graffiti world. He gained fame with his humorous murals in Zuidoost, where he grew up. His artistic journey began at the age of twelve, inspired by his father, who is also a painter. Ravian's work, influenced by 1950s pop art, is characterized by a unique color palette of soft pastels and bold black outlines. He is known for his striking artworks, often combining buttocks with cartoon-like elements. Ravian's style combines sensuality with humor, constantly exploring artistic boundaries. His work challenges the viewer, stimulates the senses, and shows a deep appreciation for the beauty of the female body.

DE HALLEN AMSTERDAM
De Hallen Amsterdam is located in West, near the center, between the Kinkerstraat, the Bellamyplein, the Tollensstraat and the Ten Katemarkt. The Gallery is located at the small passage in De Hallen with the entrance at the Bilderdijkkade!! From De Hallen parking space go LEFT, walk through and find the gallery at the next passsage on number 5.
BY PUBLIC TRANSPORT:
Line 7 from Leidseplein; line 17 from Central Station. Trams stop at the Bilderdijkstraat, Kinkerstraat, Ten Katemarkt stop.
BY CAR:
De Hallen has a public parking garage. The entrance to the parking garage is located at Bellamyplein. Parking costs 3 euros per hour, a day ticket costs 27 euros. Pay only via chip or pin. From the parking space go LEFT to find the gallery on number 5.
BY BICYCLE:
There is a free bicycle shed under the library.
