About I Love Illustration Gallery
Nestled in the beautifully restored tram depot De Hallen, in the vibrant heart of Amsterdam, I Love Illustration Gallery is a boutique platform dedicated to contemporary illustration with a distinctive focus on fashion and style. Founded in 2020 by curator and art director Anneke Krull, the gallery presents original works from a carefully curated selection of established and emerging artists worldwide. Among its treasures is the exclusive presentation of iconic drawings by renowned Dutch fashion illustrator Piet Paris.
Founder & Director
Anneke Krull opened the gallery in September 2020, bringing over 25 years of experience in the fashion and editorial worlds. Her extensive career includes collaborations with leading magazines such as Blvd., AvantGarde, Elegance, Marie Claire, RED, Grazia and Wendy, as well as creative projects for institutions like the Rijksmuseum and brands such as Vlisco. Before launching the gallery, Anneke shared her passion through the personal blog I Love Illustration, championing the art of fashion illustration.
Curating Pop-Up Shows
In March 2020, Anneke curated a vibrant pop-up exhibition in collaboration with Amsterdam Fashion Week, spotlighting established and emerging Dutch fashion illustrators, showcasing the dynamic and evolving world of fashion illustration.
An Art Book About Style
In 2010, Anneke partnered with celebrated art publisher Gestalten to produce The Beautiful: Illustrations for Fashion and Style, featuring 100 visionary artists shaping the worlds of fashion, lifestyle, magazines, and advertising. The book quickly became a sought-after collector’s item and an important reference in fashion illustration.
