Meet Ila Dani – one of the Open Call winners selected by the jury for Amsterdam Modestad!

Amsterdam-based illustrator Requilia Woerdings, who works under the name Ila Dani, blends her passion for fashion with a raw, expressive digital style shaped by living with a chronic neurological condition. Her signature lies in soft colors, flowing lines, and a beautifully messy touch that gives her work a strong sense of movement, intimacy, and emotion.

Her work Amsterdam: XXX presents three bold figures that channel the city’s global DNA — effortlessly stylish, culturally diverse, and rooted in streetwear. Set against a backdrop of canal houses, the piece pulses with energy and texture: layered outfits, tulips, market treasures, and bikes, with inspired nods to local style leaders such as Ace & Tate, Atelier Reservé, Patta, and Daily Paper.

The jury was struck by Ila’s ability to tell a story through her illustration. Her work feels joyful, warm, and thoughtfully composed — a vivid portrait of Amsterdam’s fashion identity.
