The gallery is delighted to present a selection of original fashion illustrations by emerging Australian artist Carlotta Hey.

Carlotta Hey is a Melbourne-based fashion illustrator and product developer whose practice explores the intersection of fashion, design, and visual art. Her distinctive work focuses on the relationship between texture and form, creating refined compositions that celebrate the craftsmanship, movement, and emotion found within garments.

Drawing on her background in fashion design, Carlotta's illustrations are rooted in detailed garment sketches and technical drawings. This technical precision is combined with expressive mark-making and layered materials, resulting in a unique visual language that feels both contemporary and tactile. Working with carefully curated colour palettes, she invites viewers to look beyond the surface of fashion and appreciate the subtle dialogue between fabric, structure, and silhouette.

Carlotta has exhibited internationally, with her work collected throughout Europe and Australia. Her illustrations have also been featured in publications including Art/Edit, Beautiful Bizarre, and the American fashion magazine BASIC.

From 2026, Carlotta Hey is represented by I Love Illustration Gallery in Amsterdam.
